Kate Costello is a recent graduate of Providence College, with Bachelor’s degrees in both English Literature and Theatre Arts.  She graduated with the Leonard Award for Excellence in Drama, after two consecutive years of being granted the Blackfriars’ Theatre Guild Scholarship.  Onstage credits include: (ballet) The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, (theatre) Hello, Dolly!, The Music Man, The Tempest, Amadeus, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and Clue, as well as sketch and sit-comedy.  Stage management credits include: Brigadoon, The Laramie Project, and Moon Over Buffalo.  She made her directing debut in the fall of 2007 with a full independent production of Boy Gets Girl, and followed that in spring 2008 serving as co-director, choreographer, musical director/pianist, and costume designer for the St. Pius V School’s production of Honk!.  In fall 2008, Kate will begin a long-awaited ambition of teaching ballet to students 2 years old through adult at Shawn Terenzi’s Academy of Dance in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  She hopes to attend graduate school in the future and eventually teach theatre as well as dance in order to share her passion for the performing arts.
