Our Mission Statement:
Journeymen Theatreworks is an entirely student-run organization with a twofold practice- and community-oriented mission. We aim to provide young actors, technicians, designers, and directors the opportunity to learn and apply valuable, professional skills in the Arts & Entertainment industry with an emphasis on each member’s collaborative involvement in all facets of the production process. We also strive to generate public enthusiasm for theatrical art, as well as inspire and enliven both new and existing theatregoing communities with the empathy, self-belief, and vivacity, which the theatre always encourages in its audience.
What are "Journeymen"?
Journeymen is an Elizabethan term for any member of a Company who is interested in acting and crew work, as well as involvement in the ownership and running of the Company. At Journeymen Theatreworks every member of the Company in some way contributes to the production process in the sense of stage work or the business aspect of the Company.
