Caitlin Phelan is an English Literature and Secondary Education major in her second year at Providence College, where she is heavily involved in costuming both Mainstage and student productions. Her most notable costuming experience includes Noises Off, Boy Gets Girl, The Underpants, and Funny Girl. A devout lover of clothing and its direct influence on self-assurance, she sincerely enjoys making performers “look the part” onstage.
Caitlin is also enthusiastic about performing. She discovered an intense affection for singing and acting in grade school; her favorite roles include Gwendolyn Fairfax in The Importance of Being Earnest, Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker, Hodel in The Fiddler on the Roof, and Linda Loman in The Death of a Salesman.
After college, Caitlin hopes to serve in the Peace Corps., teaching literacy and writing. She will ultimately teach English to high school students and is so eager to begin her career. The theatre has always been a source of motivation, confidence, and profound friendships for her; she hopes to one day inspire her students to realize the potential for these within themselves.
